Created By God
January 2020 (parent preview 1/22)
This 6-week optional class is a biblically-based program designed to communicate to 4-5th graders that they were incredibly created by God and for His purposes. Kids will understand what is happening to them physically, emotionally, and sexually as they begin maturing. The topics of human sexuality, values and relationships are approached in a frank, honest and Bible-based manner by qualified teachers.
For moms new to the church or new to motherhood.
We would love to connect you to other moms in your stage of life. We also have meet ups at local parks or we can connect you with other moms in your area.

Child dedication is a commitment to be a positive example of what it means to be a follower of Christ. If you are interested in having your child dedicated at GEBC, we would like to invite you to our next Child Dedication Class where we’ll outline what child dedication means and help you find ways to raise your child in a healthy and spiritual way. Both parents are encouraged to attend this class. Upcoming 2019-2020 classes:
November 10, 2019 (Class on October 20)
May 10, 2020 (Class on April 26)
Contact Amy Coyle if interested in having a child dedicated.
Baptism is an important milestone in your child’s spiritual journey. We know that children can understand and put their faith in Jesus Christ. We are excited to help parents talk through baptism with their child.
To help prepare for baptism, we have created a Baptism Guide For Parents. Use this to talk through baptism with your child to see if they are ready for this next step in the Christian faith. We also have a devotional (Baptism 101) that you can go through with your child to learn the basics of baptism. If you believe they are ready, please set up a short meeting with Amy Coyle to confirm that they understand and to talk through their testimony.
2019-2020 Baptisms will take place on:
June 7 (Worship in the Park)
Special Services Children’s Programming
We have programs for children infant through Kindergarten for the special holiday services on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter.
Each year, the kids in Children’s Ministries adopt a missionary or missionary family. This year we are supporting the Henkels. Marc and Sandy serve with CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) at its Agape Community Center, an inner city ministry located in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. Outreach activities include children’s Bible clubs, spring break and summer service programs for college students, after-school children’s program training at area churches and seasonal distributions to the homeless and poor. Throughout the year, kids learn about the missionary’s ministry as well as raise money to send needed gifts to the missionary. Check out our Missions Corner in our CM Large Group space!
